Title: Amiga as part of education...
Post by: ravnen on December 05, 2006, 07:33:49 PM
I got an email from a local school some days ago.

They have a real tv studio they use to educate tv broadcasting for youths (16 to 19).

For a year now they have been unable to do realtime graphics like text overlay etc. because, well their Amiga stoped working. And they have been looking for someone who knows their way around amigas since then. And now they found me.

They use an a4000D together with an external genlock to do this. I have no more details yet.

I have agreed to come down and take a look. They are really interested in getting it online again, and use it as a part of their education.

The person said that they had looked for similar solutions for pc's, but they where eather to expencive or to low quality.

Who can say no to helping todays youth see the power of the old amiga?

Not me, thats for sure!

Here is an image of that studio, allthough I cannot spot any miggy on this picture. But I'll keep you all updated on this.
