Title: How often are you drunk when using your Amiga?

Speaking for myself, once or twice a week probably.

Used to use my A1200 whilst drunk when it was my main machine, but that was quite a time ago!

Nowadays, Amiga + beer = possible disaster, so I don't!  :-)

My PeeCees, on the other hand, are expendable, so using them whilst drunk is fine!  :pint:

I spilled a whole beer into the open case of my A2000 back in the day. It flashed a bunch of colors before I yanked out the power cord. I air dried it for a couple of days and it worked like a charm for many years after that.

I've never been drunk.

And don't intend to get drunk anytime in the forseeable future.

So my Amigas are safe from being used by drunk people.

I was drunk when I sold my A2000 and bought a brand new PC 486dx33 with 4 megs of RAM and took it home. I solbered up real fast and took it back and got drunk again and bought my A4000/030. :pint:  :pint:  :flame:  :pint:

the best I've managed in recent years is being 'under the influence' of two pints (ie over the driving limit for an hour or two) while at work.
at home ? not for years now, even if I have been drinking, I'm usually sober by the time I get up there ! :-(

No, I'm not nuts, I'm just drunk occasionally. ;-)
But don't worry, my Miggy's are safe when drinking! They're all in mint and pristine condition,
and I'm intending to keep 'm that way!

I only drink and compute if I think I might be likely to encounter certain zealots of the "ONE & ONLY TRUE RED" religion while using my Amiga.   :lol:

Hmm,depends really on what music i play lolwhen my mate is over he will be on my pc and sometimes i will just switch my amiga on since i have diffrent music on there.

Usually don't use it when I'm drunk, alcohol makes me too horny to worry about computers ;)
But nothing is more fun to play when I'm stoned than old Amiga games. 8 guys, 2 amigas, an ounce and Moonstone/Silkworm competition = a perfect weekend.

Back in my army days- My first 1989 A500, a bottle of Yukon Jack, and Police Quest, Red Lightning, or Leisure Suit Larry.

Now I'm old and work for a living. I cant drink and
stay awake long enough to find my Amiga.

luxury! I can't find my amigas sometimes!
my office has become a bedroom so no computer chair, and 6 inches between me desk and the bed, so I have to sit on that. Then the missus likes to use the bed for storage (currently washing, chrimble prezzies, empty coat hangers, and the cushions off the swing seat).

I think someone is trying to tell me something, but I'll be bo66ered if I'm going to listen!!

I drink beer all the time when I gaming on the Miggy. Not a drop when translating or configuring my machines.

And I put the glass and the bottle AWAY the Miggy, in another bench.

I'm never drunk when using my Amiga. I guess that's mainly because the Amiga is in a closet unused.

I don't know, I'm not trying to be a party pooper.  I like a beer now and then as much as the next guy.....but the thought of someone getting drunk in a little room in their house in front of a computer (I assume all alone too).....well....er.....that's not something I would want to admit to anyone....especially someone of the opposite sex.  :-?  Maybe with a bunch of friends playing a game together....but.....I'd rather a pub or a party.

NyQuil: alcohol has the exact opposite effect on me.  The last thing I think about when I'm drunk, is poon.

Anyway, I use my PC when I'm drunk.  It's expandable, doesn't matter if it break.  It's about the only time I play games, too.  Battlefield2 and Counter-Strike.

If you asked me 10 or 15 years ago, the answer would be "coding demos".  I still have the sources from back then, and get a good laugh reading stuff like  "; Fix this when sober."
