It is because I is dumb.

I just can't see the solution.

Okay, I had a sleep on it, went out to dismantle a mate's laptop, and when I came back...

BING!!

The answer was obvious.

Edit: @ Doobs

I feel a bit better, 'cos number 23 didn't give me any trouble. Must just be a matter of perspective. I bet you have finished the game by now.

Okay, it seems the last levels aren't difficult.

Finally (in other words bollox to level 16!)

Yeah, it's weird that one level can take a while to figure out, then the next one seems simple. But I gave up at 23, both brain cells were worn out.

That is a seriously good game!

I can't get past level 16 either :-(

I see that someone has posted solutions, but I can't work it out for myself...

Will come back to it later, when I've recovered from my hangover.

I've raced through to lv 27. It still seems easy compared to level 16

edit: had a break, came back, through to level 30 was easy too...

I still reckon lv 16 is the hardest!

Thanks for the link Xray

16 is definitely the worst of the lot.

21 and 22 are the easiest :-D

Ja, it may be worthwhile for me to contact the guy and tell him that his game is much appreciated. Maybe he will then make more levels, perhaps on a cube that has more surface area.

LMAO... nope, not an alien.I guess I'm just 'different'
I tried it again at the weekend, whizzed through upto level 23 again and was stumped for 15 mins. Finally saw it thru to the end

Shame there's only 30 levels, got addicted to it.

Pretty good, really! I've had a pretty mental few months all round, was doing 80-hour weeks as a kitchen supervisor/chef during the summer, made a load of friends, fell for a French girl who then moved home, which was gutting...

And just today I landed a new job on the IT team at a local school... Which, considering my lack of relevant formal qualifications and work history, is quite a break. I think I'm going to do a couple more A-levels in my spare time this year, I'd like to have the option of going to uni before I'm totally ancient! :-D

Is everyone still here?

WB dude =). You going to be a network monkey at that school? Or something teacher-y?

Hey! Thanks. :-)

I will be working in the former, monkey capacity. ;-) I'd like to teach, but I don't have that kind of confidence.

Hey Chris,
Good to see ya.

Its pretty quiet here these days, I disappeared for a few months myself, a few people post over at Whyzzat more than here.

Women are doing my head in at the moment (well, pretty much every moment). I wish someone had cut my balls of when I was a kid, would've made life so much easier!

Just the balls, or more of an Action Man type job?  :nervous:

I'm generally happy I still have my "furry dice."

Oh dear!

To be fair, if I didn't have balls I wouldn't have been able to jump out of a plane at 12000ft the other week...so it ain't all bad!

I got to level 16, I just can't get the Reds to meet!!! The colours are a bit hard to see as well :-(
Title: Re: Rubix Shmoobix
Post by: X-ray on December 12, 2006, 07:43:37 PM
Ja, we know, my good man. There is always one colour left that doesn't meet. On that level you can have it so that all the colours except one don't meet, and that one colour that doesn't meet can be any one except green. For me it was the yellow or the orange.

If someone ports it on a larger cube, I will design all the new levels (where the coloured squares should be). Unfortunately I don't know diddly about programming otherwise I would be on it right now.
Title: Re: Rubix Shmoobix
Post by: motorollin on January 09, 2007, 12:32:14 PM
It probably wouldn't be a difficult game to programme. But I don't know any languages for the Amiga. Also, I think the checking procedure to see whether the level has been solved would be quite complex.
