I sold my A3000 on ebay last month for just 12 MB of ram and it went for US$405. If you add up the amount I got for the video card and the Ethernet card, I got a total of US$780.00.

I'd be surprised if this one does not beat it. It looks like a great system and just needs a cybervision card!

300 US$ ONLY?

Man; considering this is arguably the best Amiga ever built I am amazed the price isn't higher yet. I have seen these in Europe go for waaaay more.

I consider myself very lucky when I bought one including a desktop 3000 and a Powermac together for 200 euro on Ebay a year ago. Had to drive 300KM to pick it up; but hey.

Currently I am looking to buy an A3500; these are really rare. I know one here in Holland; now all I have to do is get the guy to sell..... :)

Yes, I'd say the 3000T was the best ever built -- the 4000 well what's he point after that?

Just a nitpick -

If this is your ad, you might just want to change the description.  Those are not "genlock boards", they're Time-base Correctors, possibly DPS TBC-IIIs or -IVs.  Yes they have genlock capabilities, but they're worth more than plain genlocks.

@ Tahoe

I am just curious: do you value the A3000T more than the A4000T? Why?

It's certainly the 2nd best Amiga ever made, right after the A4000T, IMHO of course. :-D

I am so shocked.  A few years ago Amiga stuff was at a low point price wise (well, still much higher than old PC stuff).  But it seems in the past year that prices have begun to climb again!  Maybe people finally got tired of waiting for next generation hardware.

Hah!  Look at this VIC-20!

400 Euros and still 6 days to go in the auction.

And we thought Amigas were expensive!

(Note: this is a rare Japanese version).

Yes, I would value an A3000T over an A4000 anyday!

The only benefit I see inthe A4000 is the AGA.

The A3000 is a much better design and can run just as fast as the A4000. The A3000 also have much faster ram. If I was to get an A4000, it would eb the A4000T and not the desktop.

It is not hard to be faster than an A4000. I have an 040 board for the A2000 toaster and it is 10% faster that a stock 4000 which uses the 3640 just as the A3000T.

The AA3000 ot the A3000+ should have been the next Amiga and not the A4000.

shazam!
I payed $800us for mine about 8 years ago or so. It was basicly stock with a 3640, 16mgs ram, and 2 1gig drives, also some kinda tape drive and an AD516.
The one on auction looks to like it'll exceed $1000.

Personaly; I do. But then again; that's my personal favorite.

Why? Basically because the A3000T has almost anything the 4000T has; except for AGA. But added it has an integrated kick-ass Flicker Fixer, everything is socketed/upgradable and takes A4000 accelerators.

Also; the overall build quality feels much better then the A4000T, 4000T's have a tendency to burn off the power supply connector to the mainboard...

Downsides to the 3000T are lack of AGA and the usage of highly sought after (ie: expensive) ZIPP memory modules. And possibly the lack of an IDE interface; although in my 4000T i don't use it at all.

I do agree "out of the box" the 4000T would have a slight advantage; but adding an accelerator and a gfx card with passthrough (like mine with a CV64) to a 3000T would give it the advantage for me.

It's a hypothetical question though; as I own a 4000T, a 3000T and a A3000T-040. Just working on getting me an A3500... :)

This makes me very happy, I know that the A3000T is good, but I didn't think it would go that high!

I guess I'll keep mine for a little longer, 10 or 12 years.
I would like know how much mine would have gone for?
A3000T, GVP 040/40/32 megs Trex, Spectrum 28/24, IV24, DPS with IV frame grabber, syquest 270meg, 2 HD floppies, 3 HD, spare emplant and 3128 memory board.

It's because of the crappy power supply that Escom used. Replace it with a better AT power supply and the burning P8/P9 connectors issue would be totally gone. :)

A4000T comes with a better SCSI controller too. Its performance equals to any other top rated DMA SCSI-II controller available for Amiga, which means 10MB/s theoretical speed limit. The A3000's and A3000T's SCSI controller can push maybe as much as 4MB/s, with all the custom chips upgraded to the maximum revision level (DMAC 4, RAMSEY 7, WD-SCSI 8, Buster 11...although Buster revision shouldn't really matter too much as far as SCSI is conserned).

It's also cool that A4000T uses standard AT power supplies, so once your PSU fails it's easy to replace it with another AT or even better an ATX PSU (through an AT to ATX converter cable).

Built in flicker fixer is cool with A3000T, but just get a Picasso IV and stick it in your A4000T and there you go. :-)

Ja I agree. I reckon the A4KT is the daddy.
But anyway, that A3KT seems to be fetching a nice price!

Over $800 and still 20 hrs to go looks like it may hit $1000 :-o
When I bought my A3000T 040 with 16 fast & 2 chip ram it was just out (1992 I beleave) and I payed $2100 for it. They were not cheep when they were released.
