I can't get to Amigakit's web site at the moment. This is from an A name lookup on DNSStuff.com:
How I am searching:
Searching for leamancomputing.com A record at i.root-servers.net [192.36.148.17]: Got referral to G.GTLD-SERVERS.NET. (zone: com.) [took 189 ms]
Searching for leamancomputing.com A record at G.GTLD-SERVERS.NET. [192.42.93.30]: Reports that no A records exist. [took 8 ms]
Response:
No A records exist for leamancomputing.com, and leamancomputing.com does not exist. [Neg TTL=900 seconds]
:-(

Its working here... maybe some DNS servers have problems ATM.
Try:
http://64.17.172.249/catalog/index.php
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com
http://shop.amigakit.com/catalog/index.php
http://www.amigakit.co.uk
-
Yeah aint working here either.
-
Sorry about this.
Please try IP address and let me know if it is working:
http://64.17.172.249/catalog/index.php
-
It's down, can't ping either. :boohoo:
Just make sure the website is up and running when you get them Efikas. ;-)
-
I still can't get to it using the IP, as it redirects to a domain name (amigakit.leamancomputing.com).

Site works like a charm here. Both Amigakit.com and the IP. :-)
-
Order me an X-Surf then :-P

If Amigakit is not up and running again in 15 minutes, I have to place my 30.000 EUR order at Vesalia.
...just kidding
-
None of them is working.
-
I was trying earlier too, and I tried some of the links I found and I can not get to it either. I know I was there a couple of days ago. Hmmmmm
-
Dont worry - we are not gone(!)
It just seems that some ISP DNS servers dont recognise our domain.
I suspect these will be restored within hours.
-
It's working again here...
-
netcraft search: amigakit.leamancomputing.com (http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?site=amigakit.leamancomputing.com)
There seems to be some trouble...

Traceroute fails after 65.14.182.94
-
@Dr_Righteous
It's no routing problem. Apparently the system is blocking UDP / ICMP, making regular traceroute fail. Use tcptraceroute.

Also, the server is clearly up:
$ echo "GET /" | nc 64.17.172.249 80
AmigaKit.com - the Amiga shop
alt="amigakit.com amiga shop">
enter www.amigakit.com
So indeed apparently it is "only" a nameserver problem.
-
The site is down here as well. Neither the URL or the DNS links are recognized as valid.
-
Here is a link proving the website works (http://64.17.172.249/catalog/index.php?currency=EUR)
Unfortunately all pictures and links use absolute URLs with the hostname. If the website would have used relative linking, it would fully work with the IP address.
-
It's 'just' the DNS, if you add
64.17.172.249 amigakit.leamancomputing.com
to your hosts file, it's working fine.
Looks like Tucows f**ked up the domain completely: DNSstuff (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup.ch?name=amigakit.leamancomputing.com&type=A)
[edit]
No, their DNS server is resolving the name, the referral must be broken: F.GTLD-SERVERS.NET reports 'No A record' instead of referring on. Verisign is the problem (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/traversal.ch?domain=amigakit.leamancomputing.com&type=A).
-
Still no go here this morning :-(
-
If you PM or email Amigakit they can give you an alternative DNS server which allows the site to work. It worked perfectly for me.

None of the links in the thread work properly for me, if at all. The closest I get is a page with a lot of missing images.
-
The closest I get is a page with a lot of missing images.
The missing images and broken links are due to absolute linking used in the website. If the website had used relative linking it'd work fully with the direct IP address.
If you absolutely must access the site, use Zac67's trick (add entry to hosts file until the nameserver issues are fixed).
-
Website is back up and running again.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
