Hi,
I am having problems with getting my XSurf 3cc card to work under MorphOS - it works perfectly without a single problem whatsoever under AmigaOS3.9, but MorphOS frequently refuses to boot with both the XSurf and my Algor Pro inserted.
I think there is a compatibility problem between them somewhere under MorphOS, and since the chances of any MorphOS developers caring about PowerUP problems is slim and none, I want to try another network card in the hope that it solves my problem.
If someone can provide me with a working card, this one will appear up for sale.
I want to try anything that is NOT an XSurf 3cc - so, one of the previous XSurf revisions, but most preferred would be a completely different one such as an Ariadne II.
Can anyone help? :-(
I am located in the UK.

Weird, wish I could help you :-(
Have you tried different slots and the reset utility which comes with the X-surf drivers?
And which X-surf driver are you using in MOS?
I really pisses me off that the MOS PUP developers just ignore us poor users, I would donate a pile of $$$ to them for MOS PUP if I just could get my MOS PUP registered

Hi AMIGAZ,
The problem isn't the driver in MorphOS - that works fine. That's the patched Ariadne driver.
It's the fact that MorphOS usually won't boot at all (hangs after the bootloader has reset the machine) when the X-Surf and Algor are both inserted.
I have tried different combinations of slot to no avail. :-(
But I haven't tried or even heard of the reset utility. Where can I find this? The only tools I have besides the x-surf.device and some installation scripts for Samba is an XSURFTEST tool - and the card passes the test fine.
If you have a reset utility that I could try, could you upload it somewhere or email it to me? I am at [daleyo -!AT!- gmail -!DOT!- com].
The problem would seem to be MorphOS, but fixing MorphOS is impossible. Heh, when I asked for help in #morphos, I got told to buy a Peg, so screw that. Looks like I'm forced to try another LAN card.
