OK my A3000T has an issue. It was working fine but stopped working so I eventually opened it up to see what the problem was. I had to do this a few times before, it was an easy fix. Reinsert the CPU card (A Phase 5 MKII 060) and it would work. Well this time no juice. I removed the card and it booted right up to 030 mode. Suspecting the card I installed it in a A4000D and it worked fine. Hmm I then tried the A3640 in the A3000T. Nothing. Then found out I need a chip: 74F08. Ordered it and installed it no go. Found the jumper setting on google so I have them correct.
J100 3-4
J102 2-3
J104 2-3
J105 1-2
J106 1-2
J107 1-2
I did have a slightly leaky batt when I first got it and removed it right away and did the Lithium hack. Then later it was dead and found 1 bad trace and repaired it and she came back up. Been like 2 years since then. Could it be another trace bad now? (For fast slot)? I am stumped as it works in 030 mode fine.

A3000 tower jumpers for a3640 should be
j100 3-4
j102 2-3
j103 1-2
j104 2-3
j105 2-3
j106 2-3
j107 2-3
If jumpers are set for a3640, or cyberstorm the on board processor will not boot with accelerator unplugged. I would highly recommend you do not ever change J105, j106, j107. Things can be ruined. :-o

To use the A3640 I had to install the chip 74F08 that is why I set the J105, J106, J107.

Looks like a broken lid on the CPU connector. If you have a dead A3000 (or even 2k or 4k), take the connector from and replace it (you'll need some ironwork).......

Some Usenet posts (http://groups.google.co.uk/group/comp.sys.amiga.hardware/tree/browse_frm/thread/8b7d75e6cf6f55c9/cc3980b2af04d0ea?rnum=1&hl=en&q=cyberstorm+mkii+jumper+settings&_done=%2Fgroup%2Fcomp.sys.amiga.hardware%2Fbrowse_frm%2Fthread%2F8b7d75e6cf6f55c9%2F3036c5f695014862%3Flnk%3Dst%26q%3Dcyberstorm+mkii+jumper+settings%26rnum%3D4%26hl%3Den%26#doc_fdcc6abced394315) also have different settings to yourself
The jumper settings that actually made the MKII work in my A3000T/040 are these:
J100 1-2
J102 2-3
J104 1-2
J105 1-2
J106 1-2
J107 1-2

I have just been going through the same problems as this thread describes. I couldn't get a Cyberstorm MKII to work in an A3000T 040. The A3640 worked fine, but the MKII did nothing. It took me awhile and a lot of testing but I finally got it to work today. I put a 74F08 chip in U103 which was empty. This alone did nothing. I then changed J100, and J104 and presto, the computer tried to boot. I then mounted the new libraries for the MKII and rebooted and I finally had it working. Now for my question. I did nothing with the J105, J106, & J107 jumpers. They had no jumpers on them and still don't. I have read here and several other places that all three should be jumpered on pins 1-2. There is also a post earlier in this thread that says they should all be jumpered on 2-3 and never changed. Could someone give me some help with this? Is it fine like I have it with no jumpers at all (which is how the computer already was), or put jumpers on all 3 and what pins should I jumper? By the way, I changed J100 to 1-2 and J104 to 1-2. Thanks,
Dan
