Nice one :-) It's great to see a miggy online. How fast is it? Browsing feels a bit sluggish on my A1200 (see sig).

Serious? Is it really rather slow with that high-end setup?
Would this be why you are switching to the A4000 world? ;-)
-
It's slow compared to my MacBook :-) But it's definitely usable. I don't know what difference the A4K would make to the performance. I just like it more than the D-Box my A1200 is in :-)

Thanks!..
its great keep the Amiga Classic Alive!...
I hope the Amigans not have your Amigas on line... do too...
The Speed is not the more fastest.. but is a Decent Speed..
Its cool.. this give another "flavor" to the Net!..:-P

Aye, sorry I didn't answer your first post...
I like your style - keeping it simple with the 020 and native 3.0 Workbench, yet still able to do things which other retro computers could only dream of!
How does browsing run on your base A1200? Like roughly how long it takes to load a page up (and can you even load images? lol :-) ).

IBrowse 2.3 is a fantastic browser but ideally you should get yourself a cheap '030 card.
Surfing the net on an '020 sounds damn painful...
:-D

Thank you men..
I think the Amiga have many power himself.. you know iwht this basic configuration i can Browse.. (with Ibrowse 2.3) graphics.. Gif animations graphics.. Javascript.. everything, you can do qith any PC with Internet Explorer.. and.. when i browsing i can check the email with YAM, and use chat with Yabberwocky to any frind conect to MSM Messenger, or Yahoo Messenger..
I thnik the people dont have idea of the Amiga Power.. Just with 020 and OS 3.0.. and some MB RAM.. .
Now... thats right with 030 acellerator, or 060 or PPC Card Much better!.. .. its the best !--- but with this configuration in this A1200 ou can do it!.
The idea is work fine.. you know.. with the basic work fine--
Regards!!

Motorollin needs a blizzard ppc card that will take away the sluggish feeling :-D
-

Do any Amiga browsers have PPC support yet?
Yes, I suppose as long as you have extra RAM surfing the web on a 14Mhz A1200 would make you feel as smug as overtaking a Ferrari in a Smart Car.
:-D

I floored past a Ferrari in a '58 Bug. He was only going 90km/h and I zipped in front going 140km/h (at that speed, a Bug is LOUD! It probably scared the crap out of him). I felt pretty smug. (...just about as smug as I feel posting this from an A500)

An A500 online? That is so sweet! Good for you mr_a500!!
-
Hey...
What´s Up!..
I have VW Notchback! 64´!!!
-
Now here is one more A1200 online
I must say that im surprised how fast it works (considering that A1200 is over 10 years old)
My configuration is A1200 with Apollo 030 and 16M memory, connected to dsl with a pcmcia network card.
