Title: Dumb I know...WinUAE Question
Post by: Starrunner on November 18, 2006, 05:50:19 PM
So I did manage to get a kickstart 3.1 image off my A400 to use with WinUAE.  It recognises it, but now I guess I need to load an AmigaOS cause it is asking for a disk just like it has no OS.  I can not get it to read a floppy, and can not figure out what I am doing.  i can't seem to find anything in any of the docs I got either.  Can someone give me a bit of help?  or at least tell me what a big dummy I am? :-)

Simplest would be to use the amiga to read the workbench floppies to adf, and then transfer these files to the PC.

If this is not possible: Reading Amiga Floppy Disks on PC (http://www.amigaforever.com/kb/3-118.html) or just buy AmigaOS 3.5, 3.9, or Amiga Forever package which all have AmigaOS on CD-ROM.

The pc cannot read amiga formatted floppy disks, unless you get a device called catweasel. But you can download the WB adf images from the internet since you already own the orginal software. I cannot give any links due to guidelines on this site, but you should be able to search around the web for it.

Good luck :)
