Wouldn't a sound card be more useful ?  ;-)

Yes, a sound card would be more useful. I have 3 voodoo 5500 and I have one installed in my D-box mediator 1200 with blizzard 060/50mhz and ppc/200mhz. My 3000 tower is still faster with graphics with the picasso IV. I would not invest a lot into graphics cards until maybe the dragon comes out(if ever) and get a relatively cheap agp card. (just my opinion)

i bought this voodoo with the idea of buying a mediator and soundcard... too expensive though... i don't know what other cards are supported in the mediator but at the time it was a good bet. i used it in my pc till i could justify getting a mediator... but i never did.

This card is still not used at 100%, a Voodoo 3 - 3000 will bring you as much performance and better compatibility.
Only under MOS you will get a little benefit.
