After a long conversation with Mike Bouma regarding the Amiga situation, we seem to have reached an understanding. I won't go into it, as most of it's private. Just understand that everyone, even the most staunch opponents aren't always THAT far apart in thoughts.
As an olive branch, I have removed the ban on Mike Bouma from the site and he should now be able to participate.
Before attacking randomly, I would ask of each of you that you consider your words carefully. The Amiga community would be better off if everyone got along. Peace however is seemingly a pipe dream. Let's go for a matter of toleration, which is good for everyone.

needless to say I dont like Mike Bouma but I agree to tollerate him for the good the community....
-
IMHO, his presence and postings will double the
number of the flamewars, but it's your site and your
decision. Welcome back to Mike... I hope he won't
screw up YET again...
-
Guys?
I can appreciate your comments and you have every right to your opinion. All I'm asking is that in the interest of this community, let's give peace at least one chance here before lighting the predictable camp fires.
-
Thanks alot Wayne. :-)
@ All
I am not here to start any fights and in fact you will mainly see me lurking on AO and not actually participate in any polarized discussions.
All the best to the Genesi, AROS and Amiga teams and their supporters. :-)
-
I agree with that wayne but this 'peaceful' moment couldnt come at a worse time...I think we all know why when we look at how camp leader companies are doing...its hard to forget who said what...
-
Welcome back :-)
-
Mike please, no use of word FUD in every post, please.. or we'll all go
-
Hi Mike,
good to see you back here.
Regards,
Onno

Mike was banned? Wow, how did i miss that? Can i ask why he was banned since i missed everything!?
I never though mike was a bad guy. He sure loves his Amiga :).
-
:pint: Welcom back, sir! It's good to see you again.
(http://amiga.org/images/subject/icon20.gif) Wouldn't you know it? All the interesting stuff happens while I'm out of town for a day!
-
welcome back Mike, and for some reason I am
caught up in this sappy love fest too.
My only regret is I never made anyone angry 'nuff
to ban me, if I had, then maybe people would
be welcoming me back now, instead of you.
dang, when I think about it, that makes me mad,
where's my big re-union thread....with people
crying and hugging me and sending me e-mails.
;-)
kidding folks....
anyway, good to see the whole family back together.
-
@Rodney
I think it was due to a major case of head-butting. But, if it's
resolved, great!
-
Welcome back Mike. Just ignore the bitching.
-
@ Rodney
Let's just say that things had to be talked out better, as else miscommunications will start to lead a life of their own and I am really happy to see this resolved.
The ban allowed me to better concentrate on AmigaWorld.net however, which I joined as an administrator just before the ban, so the temporary ban had it's positive aspects as well. :-)
BTW I like the new (to me) Amiga.org look alot! Keep up the excellent work guys. 8-)

The ban allowed me to better concentrate on AmigaWorld.net
...which is a nice site, too.
But anyway, welcome back. Nice to see the Amiga family whole again ;-)
