Title: Floppy file recovery
Post by: BGary335 on November 12, 2006, 03:08:30 AM
Does anyone know of a program that can recover deleted and/or corrupt files from floppy disks? I have several disks that have files on them from many years ago that were either deleted or have become corrupt, and I'd like to try and recover them, but I don't know if it can be done. I'd imainge it would have to be done on the Amiga side, but if it can be done on the PC side that would be awesome. Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Hi,

You may want to consider running DiskSalv on a backup of your original floppies... Then if anything goes horribly wrong or you want to try something different, you've got the "master" disks safe... Use something like XCopy in "nibble copy" mode so that it tries to copy across as much as possible (non-DOS errors included!)
