Title: CybergraphX or Picasso96 preferred?
Post by: Liber777 on November 10, 2006, 08:31:51 PM
Hello,

I have a Macrosystem Retina BLT Z3 at home and an Amiga 3000 on its way.  I used to run this board with CybergraphX on my old A3000 system and OS 3.1.

Does either the CybergraphX or Picasso96 RTG system offer an advantage for me with this board?  Is one better than the other?

Thanks...!
Stivan

IIRC The latest version of P96 has CyberGraphics 3 emulation built in but CyberGraphics 4 has no Picasso96 emulation.

@Liber777

Picasso96 is quite simple to configure and get working. CGX has nicer things like draggable screens and most of software works better than on P96, as there's almost no software that uses specific p96 calls.

CGX can emulate Picasso96. Check out the emulator in aminet. But don't worry, CGX is usually better.

If you already have CGX, download Picasso96 and compare the speed of both.
