Maybe I have missed this but what ever happened to Eyetech?
Amigakit and SoftHut bought some of the remaining stock.
Entering www.eyetech.co.uk redirects me to Amigakit.
Several people has tried to contact Eyetech without any success but two companies where able to purchase some inventory.
-
Yes I tried and got the same Amigakit, perhaps its the end for eyetech.
-
As I understand, Softhut purchased some Zorro graphics cards earlier this year from Eyetech. However added the stock and announced it recently.
Later this year we purchased the entire Amiga stock from Eyetech so if you are after some particular item, we may have it in stock. As Eyetech are no longer active in the classic Amiga market (and we have their stock), their website was redirected to www.amigakit.com
Please bear in mind that we still have half a dozen pallets of Eyetech stock that haven't yet been added to our stock inventory. We are working through it.

@Amigakit:
a CV64/3D wouldn't be so bad =)
But how come Eyetech got out of business?
Strange to just jump out and leave all the remaining stock that probably would be worth some money, and then later sell off the stock.
-
The Eyetech stock obviously has retail value, however, it costs a lot to actually sell stock: wages, property costs, utility bills, website costs, packing/shipping costs, long term support/warranty costs, depreciation.
Sometimes it is better business to let another company with an active retail infrastructure in that market to purchase the stock in one go. Surely also this is better for the Amiga Community?
-
I remember in late 2002 when an Eyetech engineer came out to sort out my AmigaOne. Never ever got that thing working properly..

You're joking, right? It's been pretty obvious for the better part of two years where Eyetech was headed.
Strange to just jump out and leave all the remaining stock that probably would be worth some money, and then later sell off the stock.
The didn't jump out and then sell it later. The two events were synonymous.

@AmigaKit
By chance would there be any BlizzardPPC boards on that pallate?

@Amigakit
>As Eyetech are no longer active in the classic Amiga market (and we have their stock), their website was redirected to www.amigakit.com
Does that mean they are active in the non-classic Amiga market?

Could that stock possibly include a scandoubler module for my Cybervision 64/3D card, just purchased from Software Hut??? Will you let us know what you find as you uncrate the stuff, or will it just be added to your inventory without any fanfare? Thanks!
