Help jog my memory guys. Back when I had OS2.1 on my A2000, there was a program that went with Magic WorkBench that had the name ______prefs and turned the boring old C= requesters into animated requesters, like having a disk going into a floppy drive, and a neat animated info screen with star trek alarm sound.
Now if I remember, it was limited to OS2.1 (I think). Is there something similar for OS3.5?
-
are you thinking of the old ARQ proggy?
-
I think he did; ReqAttack is the descendant, OS3.x+ needed.
-
I'm not familiar with either of the two you mentioned, but I'll check out ReqAttack. Thanks.
-
Was called ARQ.
ARQ (http://home6.inet.tele.dk/jail/enhance/looks/arq.html)
-
Arq! Yeah, that was a neat program.
For some reason, I was thinking of Nickprefs.

Loved ARQ myself, but had probs with it under 3.9. Can't remember what, though. I noticed somebody mentioned reqattack, and I looked for it on aminet. Unfortunately, I found it, and subsequently wasted 3 hours on configuring it. Nice proggy, think I'll keep it.

ARQ is 3.5/3.9 incompatible.

Thanks alot guys... now you got me playing with reqattack. My girlfriend thinks I'm cheating with her with somebody online. LOL Anyway, I just did this little animated logo with DeluxePaint IV, PPaint, and an image I ripped off the macintosh os8 scrapbook using shapeshifter and some shareware mac gfx proggy I had. http://www2.powercom.net/~watertonian/os39.gif The colours did't turn out how I liked, so I'm guessing I'll have to do it in ham8, then drop it to 256 aftwerwards.

Thats a neat little animation.
Girlfriends and wives always feel threatened by computers. So in a sense, you are playing around with another "amiga". :-)
