I check the big book of hw & had no luck...
Says Amiga SCSI 2.0 on the board...

sorry the image is a bit on the big side...

Looks like this could be
http://amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=1586
-
Nearly but not quite. It doesn't have the sloping front, it's just flat about 1" high, not a lot thicker than an action replay.
-
http://amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=1182 maybe?

I think Floyd is correct. :-)

Aw, man... no bag of chips for me, then :-)

Of course, if I counted right, it's got a DB-25, it's oriented for the 500, and it definitely claims to be a SCSI card.
This could mean the data on it in the hardware book is a little off, or it could be a different model from the same manufacturer, or at least someone using the same casework. Or I could be all turned around from squinting at it so long.
IMHO, that sort of 'flat and adapted from a vertical A1000 expansion' casework dates it as a relatively early product, maybe.

AFAIR BOIL was kind of a spinoff from ALF and came in different flavors, including SCSI.

It's not the one Floid linked for sure, here's some internal photos of that: http://amiga.resource.cx/photos/amigoshd
It's not ALF either, because none of them used the 5380 controller IC.
Pea, your controller is autobooting so it has AutoConfig IDs. Read the IDs with ShowConfig / SysInfo / AIBB and then the manufacturer can be easily identified.
