Hi, I'm new to the forum and I couldn't find this topic already posted. If it is, I'm sorry for the inconvience.
I've recently brought an A600 as I used to do a lot of programming & scripting on this platform before moving over to PC.
I've recently started programming in C, so hence I thought it'd be cool to get an Amiga networked and use that too.
I brought a PCMCIA Ethernet card, and with much difficulty, managed to get some files over to it, however the screen kept doing an odd flashing thing. I ignored this as I didn't care so long as it generally worked.
However, since purchasing a 4MB PCMCIA fast ram card, I've found that it flickers between monocrome and colour whenever I move the mouse, access a disk or press on the keyboard.
Could anyone help me on this issue?
Many thanks, Tig.

It did that with my Amiga 600 when using a PCMCIA ethernet card. Never tracked it down 100% but without the trapdoor memory in place it didnt do it as much (at all)
I meant to try and RGB SCART cable and see if that fixed it.

Ahh, I waited until I'd installed the trapdoor memory before posting, just incase it cured the problem.
Thanks for your response. :)

can it be psu not delivering enough juice ? are you on standart a600 psu ?
-
Yup, I didnt realise that you could purchase higher wattage PSU's for Amiga.
I guess the only way i could find out is to purchase one..
:S

My PSU supplies more than enough power. I've tried both a feather brick and a solid iron core one.

just add the Amiga connector to a standard PC supply (not ATX, the older AT). It aint pretty but it's cheap and quick.
*gets the idea of putting his A600 in a micro/mini - ATX Tower!

Thanks for your responses, I shall try and then reply!
However, the try bit will take a while considering my short quantity of funds!
