Hi Guys and Gals,
Besides the extra 2 slots and the ability to use either an AT or ATX power supply what other advantages does the 6 slot MEdiator PCI SX offer over the original 4-slot Mediator PCI1200?
Im looking to upgrade but dont want to pay the £150 prices just for an extra 2 slots.
Thanks,
Amiboy

There is no other difference when comparing a modern LT4 and SX. Although having an ATX interface is very useful (you can also control power through software in Workbench).
If you have an older LT4 - you may have older MACH chips.

If you are buying a second user Mediator LT4 make sure it has the modern MACH chips as found in the new Mediator to remain compatible with the latest Mediator software.

Amigakit, how much would new mach chips cost to upgrade an older LT4?

Hi,
If you can provide the following in an email, I can get the info for you:
- Individual Mach chip numbers and colors (marked on chip)
- Mediator serial number
- Do you want the MMCD upgrade as well?
-
OK thanks for that. PM sent....
