Title: A2000 with A2091 & A2630 problem
Post by: dbrads on October 25, 2006, 01:33:37 AM
Hello All

After a loooong wait I have collected my Amigas from the UK, the first problem I need help with is on my beloved A2000.

I have noticed the jumper (303) is fitted to disable the 4MB RAM on the A2630 card, if I remove it the system cannot boot from the A2091 SCSI HD , is it a conflict between the memory on the A2091 nd the A2630?

IIRC, there is an issue with the ROMs on the 2630 not working right with >1.3OS.
check the BBOAH and the AHD - they will most likey answer this for you.
BTW - your 2091 has up to date ROMs, right? (V7.0 - or V6.6 to at least work)

Thanks for the reply motrucker,

I have 6.6 roms on the A2091, and KS2.04/WB2.04 on the system.

V6.6 ROMs in a 2091 will work OK. This means there is an issue with the ROMs on the 2630, or a jumper setting is wrong.
That is one card I have not used, so I'll bow out & let someone else help.
Good luck, though.
