Well, the A3000T-040, that I put a new ATX PSU into, and then replaced the caps on the 040 daughterboard, that was working... froze up after a week, and now won't go past dim power LED. :-(
Before I rip it all open again... any thoughts?
I'm thinking one of the caps I replaced, maybe vibrated loose from the tiny surface mount solder pad?
But any other ideas?
Thanks,
Andrew

Do you have the original power supply to test?

How did you do the power supply conversion? As for the dead machine, could be just a loose 040 cpu card. I'd try cleaning the cpu card slot anyway if you're going to open it up with some residue -less electronics cleaner. Make sure it dries thoroughly before you reassemble.

I should be more clear. :-)
In another very recent thread, I documented how I did the ATX PSU conversion, including the jumper for the clock signal.
That didn't completely fix the machine (the Amiga PSU was completely dead for some time), but replacing the 5 small caps on the 040 daughterboard after that did. (I had observed leakage from the old caps)
Everything came back to life, old programs fired up again, the machine was back to normal, for a week.
Found it dead last night, just haven't had time to check the capacitors again.

Maybe what I should ask...
... if I can't find the problem, or the fix on the 040 board, what are my options for replacement daughterboards?
