OS 4.0 European dates (http://www.oase.at/amigaos4ontour.html)

So does that mean it will be shown at Amiwest too?

Sweet words, exactly what this community needs
right now! Let's just hope that they'll show more than
just a couple of modules. I really like the part describing
the A1 surprise, could that be something more than
just ExecNG running on the A1? That would be to
good to be true....

Oh, that would be nice, but . . . I would really be surprised.  I would guess, more like on an 4000ppc?  Just a guess.

What about New Zealand as well?? :) Theres probably a few people in the Amiga Auckland club with PPC's.. the problem would be no NZ-based beta testers, yeah?

Anyway, does this mean that OS 4.0 is "as stable as OS 3.9" now? IIRC Ben Hermans was saying thats how stable OS 4.0 had to be before they demo'd it.... If it is, thats really great news.

Here's the question:

Who or what is Point Design, and what if anything do they have to do with Hyperion?

Further, while a PPC-kernel demo of the OS on an A4000 (towered A1200's as well, perhaps?) is "neat", I'm wondering how far out it is for the A1...

Finally: on parade != on sale.  When that happens...then rejoice!

Point Design is Amiga store in Austria. They have organized A1 tours not long ago (Graz - Austria: 14-15 September, Skofja Loka - Slovenia: 19 October) and now they are organizing AmigaOS 4.0 tour. So here are the dates which are valid: 07.06.2003 Slovenia, 14.06.2003 Germany, 28.06.2003 Austria, 05.07.2003 Italy, 05.07.2003 France.

I plan to attend tour on 7.6. in my country. I'll report back after I have some news. If I can't attend it on 7.6. (I'm visiting JavaOne in S.F.), I'll attend it on 28.6. but at that time you'll have plenty of reports from German a.org members.

So, tour starts on 7.6. 10am (+1 GMT) in Ljubljana with press conference. From 11am to 7pm we could learn and see more about A1PPC and AmigaOS (with instaled Slovenian language/locale). Info at: http://www.amiga-klub.si/aot2003.php?lang=en

ADUG is in talks with them to get it displayed here. Dont know if they intend on displaying it outside of sydney however?

ADUG say they also represent NZ as well, perhaps you should get onto them in regards to proving it!
