Title: external Amiga drive for Laptop PC?
Post by: reloader12 on September 30, 2006, 03:42:20 PM
Hi There,
Does anyone make an external amiga floppy disk drive that will work with a PC? I would really like to load my older software into Winuae. Final Writer, Final Data, ect..
They may be old, but I still like the way they work better than ms office.

Reading Amiga Floppy Disks on PC (http://www.amigaforever.com/kb/3-118.html)

None of these work on modern laptop out of the box (I doubt laptops have parallel port these days, just USB. This means that AFR (http://afr.back2roots.org/) is out of question aswell).

nothing is impossible but is it worth it . adaptor on adaptor (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=99110&doy=30m9&C=SEO&U=strat15)

*edit* although that AFR sounded quite picky on the paralell port so may not work at all...
