Title: How to emulate CD32 on WinUAE?
Post by: CDE_MusiX on September 26, 2006, 06:42:29 PM
Hi, i wanna emulate CD32 system for playing with WinUAE. It dosen't work if i insert an ISO image to a virtual CD drive, same as the real cd drive with the burned CD image. What do i do?

You could copy the disc contents to a directory on the hard disk and select Add Directory on the Hard disk tab (you will lost any CD music tracks though).
Or burn the ISO images to CD and boot from CD...

The cd32 emulation on winuae runs perfect ...you are doing something bad
To run cd32 games you must insert a booteable game on a real cdrom or virtual cdrom...and press start on winuae.....that's all

what are u doing?

I use always alcohol 120% to insert cd32 games for winuae
but any other virtual cd proggy will work also

please note that you need 2 roms to emulate a cd32
cd32 kick 3.1 40.60 and cd32 extended 40.60
both files 512k

have u got them?

@All

Just keep in mind that you will need to use the emulated CD32 Pad buttons as only 2 buttons will work in WinUAE currently with a real CD32 pad connected to your computer.

I am using a Catweasel MKIV with my PC with a real CD32 Pad and I have to use a combination of Keys on the keyboard and buttons on the gamepad every so often.  Jens at Individual Computers says that full CD32 Pad emulation is indeed on the things to do list for his driver.

Ok, i insert the ISO image on the virtal drive, after i run WinUAE with the CD32 emulation (i've got all the ROMS, all A1000 trough CD32), but when i've seed the intro tune, the game dosen't start... :-(

PS: i also use alcohol 120% :-)

Deamontools doesn't cut it over here (v4.00)... I need to use Alcohol 120% instead.

CDE_MusiX,

I don't have Nick Faldo but I have Superfrog CD32 and works perfect here...

btw, sometimes you need to change blitter option on winuae to make a game work correctly
if there are gfx bugs or the game crash change betewen "inmediate blitter" or "cpu-exact CPU and bliter"
try both options and check what's happen

bye, Laser

Please don't request ISOs. You should read the Posting Guidelines (http://www.amiga.org/modules/sections/index.php?op=viewarticle&artid=6):

Warez in our definition is illegal software up to and including "abandonware". The exception is if the person is KNOWN to have the legal right to distribute said software. This is not debatable.
