Hi, can anyone tell me which way up a Hypercom Z3 board goes into the zorro board on my A4000 (i.e. component side up or down)? I have managed to get hold of one but it didn't come with installation instructions and I don't want to kill my Amiga by putting it in the wrong way!
Thanks

Edit: Post removed due to being technically wrong, and potentially dangerous, my mistake. Thanks Doobrey!

@adolescent
That's the instructions for the Hypercom3 PLUS ( meant to plugin into zorro cards with the Individual Computers 26pin header or a clockport), not the Hypercom Z3 zorro card.
I don't have mine installed right now to check, but I'm 99.9% sure it was installed like all the other zorro cards I've got .. component side up,plain side of card towards the A4000 motherboard
That is.. assuming the original poster meant the Hypercom 3z (http://amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=625) or Hypercom 3+(zorro) (http://amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=623) 1/2 length zorro cards and not the Hypercom 3+ / GoldSurfer (http://amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=605) that you linked to.... damn these names are confusing.. :crazy:

Hi,
I did mean the Z3 card rather than the other versions that plug onto other cards. Why didn't they change the name to make it more clear?!
Anyway, thanks for the info Doobrey. I plugged the card in with the components face up, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, pressed the power button of my dear Amiga and, with a flash of lights it booted straight up. Phew! So thankfully no dead motherboard and no scrap Hypercom Z3 either.
If it had been a PC it would have blown up whichever way I installed it just to spite me...!
