Title: Consortium nears $16 billion deal for Freescale

So what will happen to our beloved CPU ???
Will Freescale be splitted in several firms and which products will be stopped ???

No one cares about the end of G3/G4 and the 68k cpu for new amiga and accelerators ?  :-o

Interesting. We will have to see what happens.
I'd hope the ppc processors aren't stopped and I wouldn't have thought they would be. If the 68k ones are stopped it probably won't affect amigans much as there aren't any 68k accelerators being made any more!
