Hi there,
I'm one of the joint-owners of a new retail site dedicated to selling extremely high quality, original Amigas, CD32s and Amiga/CD32 Games.
The site is called "RetroPack" and is located at http://www.retropack.co.uk
We only sell "collector quality" stock, so if you're in the market for any games or hardware, take a look.
We also buy games and hardware, so if you've got something to sell, why not drop us a line.
Very Kind Regards,
Allan Thompson.

I like your logo! Question: will any of your A1200's work in the US as is?
-
Good luck Allan.
I couldn't see where you're based - any hints? I'm not wishing to stir, but I think that you're supposed to include contact details somewhere on your site if you're trading in order to meet distance selling guides, and you've opted out of nominet's whois too which is not appreciated by nominet if you're trading :)
If you're local, I might swing by to pick a few bits up after arranging it of course :)

looks good.
will be better when you have finished uploading pictures and added descriptions. The CD32 games section is especially sparse
-
fair offers indeed good luck with your shop
-
I too am interested in knowing if you have any NTSC a1200s.
Your prices are very good indeed!
Regards,
Simon

Do you have any network cards for the Amiga 3000?
Preferably the Commodore A2065.

Am I the only one to smells something funny about this? New user with 1 post and that's an advert to a site, not replying to questions from potential buyers. No user details what so ever apart from the URL. On the homepage there's again no IRL details and then you WhoIs the URL and again no IRL info on the registrant.
Only thing going for this so far is the fact that they have several different pictures but then you notise reused pictures and collages and pricetags that differs from one product to the exact same product without any info why different price.
No... Until I hear a fairytail about merchandise received from someone else I'll keep my pennies in my pocket even if the prices are good.

brian: well atleast the prices seems pretty spot on though he might have used HOL for such information (or other collectors).
Other than that i might look into this shop when and if we get more information etc.
-
I tend to be more causcious when I am ready to purchase.
Though I would like to take this moment to say a few good words about amigakit. I have recently made two purchases with this vendor, after hearing good things from others who have purchased from him. It's good to have those in our community that can still provide us services and products.
I have also used www.softhut -- fast service and good product there too.
I would like to hope that the market is growing to support another vendor like retropack. There a1200 prices appear to be much cheaper than anythign on ebay or even other vendor sites.

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback so far.
Brian - Firstly I can assure that there's nothing funny about this site. My first post was less than 24 hours ago and I am now back to answer the questions posed so far.
To answer the point about different prices for the "same" machines, I must point out that our prices vary based on specification, condition and original content. We pay a very high degree of attention to the pricing of our systems, and differentiate them from eachother with care.
We (thats Mark and me - the joint owners), are based in Crawley, West Sussex, in the UK. We've both been Amiga fans for some time and recently decided to rekindle our interest with a couple of A1200's.
Our interested flourished and the site is just our natural progression to immerse ourselves further into the Amiga scene.
I must emphasive everything is strictly above board and we would welcome any comments/criticisms you might have.
We are still in the process of collating descriptions for all of our games, though our Amigas and CD32s are fully (and very accurately) described.
We do indeed use images from the Hall of Light, these are used with permission obtained from RCK, the head of that brilliant site, who we are working closely with to create an immersive and accurate Amiga experience.
If there is any more information you would like about us or the site, please feel free to post again here, or to contact us directly at sales@retropack.co.uk.
Once again, thanks for your feedback, the opinions of the enthusiasts on these forums are very important to us.

Best of luck, the prices are reasonable and if you can back it with service then that's great :D
Crawley? Miles away! North of England needs a decent retailer :D
-
cool nice to see some new shops. Good luck.
@sy..
cheaper than ebay? NOT!
