Title: Problem with Cocolino ps2 mouse adapter
Post by: HardStep on September 08, 2006, 10:12:53 AM
Hi,
i connected a PC ps2 wireless optical mouse through Cocolino to A1200 mouse port, but the mouse cursor doesnt move not an inch.
As i understand, the microprocessor on the Cocolino board should work wthout drivers?
Maybe i should find a wired ps2 mouse to test it first.
Thanks.

Yes, it should work without drivers. What kind of mouse (brand?) are you using? Most Microsoft and Logitech mice work fine with the Cocolino.

Maybe your PS2 receiver is too power hungry ... :rtfm:

Well i had tested an intellimouse explorer 3 but with a usb-->ps2 adaptor and it didnt work . Then i connected my new wireless Logitech multimedia mouse with also an Usb-->ps2 adapter and worked fine. It seems that some weird problem is with the mouses that are both usb, ps2 compatible . So finally i have put a cheapo ps2 mouse and all works fine now  .  :-D

I am using Cocolino with a Logitech MX310. No problems whatsoever. All buttons and scroll wheel working fine (with addtional software).
There are only (known) problem with certain Warp3D games resulting in stuttering.

..and even that can be avoided, if you close cocolino.driver before launching those games/sw.

I know... That's exactly what I always (have to) do. But still it's an annoying issue and a pity that it can't (?) be fixed.
