After a recently rekindled interest in my old A1000, I decided to build a little LCD monitor using an automotive 7" LCD screen I had laying around my workshop. The LCD supports component video with the same levels as the A1000 video outputs, so I just hooked it up and it works!
Horizontal resolution is a little low; 80 column text is a bit hard to read. Vertical resolution is great. In fact, the interlaced modes don't flicker quite so much.
