Which wordprocessor do you guys think is the best one to use? I'm still running with WordWorth 4 SE or something and I feel it's time to update... :)

I use ProWrite v3.3.something. It's old, but it suits my needs just fine.

I've used several of the AMIGA word processors but after I installed FinalWriter 97 (from Softwood Inc) I stopped looking. As an interesting side note, they came out with a PC version of FinalWriter a few years back. The cool thing is that it could read the AMIGA version files and import them to the PC.

The most stable WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) wp program is, IMHO, FinalWriter97, but it lacks one feature: figures placement inside text, not as sepparate layer. Amigawriter was nice try to be a very good one but it less stable and very memory-hungry. When it came to lots of graphics inside one document - it ate all available memory (used to have 32 MB then, didn't try it with 64 though). It didn't worth the money I paid for it. Now I'm using LaTeX, which is free, and it's very hard to convince me to go to back to WYSIWYG editor, not to mention the fact that it runs on many platforms, so the same files can be used on Amiga, SGI, AIX, Linux and even Windows. It is wordprocessing language.
My conclusion is:
1. If you need WYSIWYG wp and have lot of RAM or there's no need to include big amounts of graphics - AmigaWriter
2. If you need WYSIWYG wp and dealing with lot of graphics is essential - FinalWriter97
3. For serious scientific wp, letters , no fancy effects - LaTeX is the only choice.
Jack.
P.S. there's another option - Pagestream, but it is more professional DTP program than wordprocessor.

I really liked Wordworth7, but I must say I havent used the others much so I can't really coment. How do you think Wordworth7(with the update) compare to others? It's very featured.
Shame Digita stoped it, and is now a tax company or something. Maybe they could license it to someone. It's really a shame why people don't do this and great apps are lost.

I use KLyX, which is more or less a frontend to LaTeX, and yes, convincing me to go back to WYSIWYG is gonna be difficult to say the least.
