I have a A1200 that produces a slight flicker in the video. This is in non flicker modes and scan doubled ones too. Even in early startup it does it so it must be a hardware issue. I will open it up to take a peek but wanted to get a feeler if anyone had any issues that might cause this. No battery leak issue with this one of course.

what kind of TV or monitor are u using?
that looks like a TV or monitor issue instead your A1200
also a bad cable connector can cause flicker on non interlaced modes

Well I tried another A1200 and it does not do the flicker. I tried a 1084 and a Sony ES200 with scandex scandoubler.

ok it's a problem of your A1200
something was damaged betewen Alice chip and the 23 pin port...it can be anything...a resistor or a small chip or another thing....who knows..
so anything connected to de 23 pin port will fail and will do flicker
Im sure you can solve that problem and save that motherboard with an internal scandoubler cause the internal scandoubler will work before the damaged hardware
do you understand?
Im talking about an internal scandoubler connected directy to Alice chip and not an external scandoubler like you have
bye, Laser

I once had a 1200 which flickering when loading from harddisk or floppy.
There is a hardware fix for it.
Only have to solder a small capacitator between two solderpoints.
Can't recall the site but search for it.
It worked for me 100%.
