I suggested "support for Mediator 3000/4000(I/D/T) in MOS PUP" bounty
@MorphZone (http://www.morphzone.org/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4757&forum=32).
It might be non-viable task, something not worthwile from developer's point of view or it might be a good thing from many points of view. Personally, as a owner of A4000&CSPPC&Mediator4000 I'd gladly use MorphOS on my system.
Afaik, Mediators for 1200 have limits and would make quite a mess to be supported in clean OS like MorphOS. Mediators for bigbox Amigas presumable doesn't suffer from these limitations, so maybe it could be and should be done?
With support and encouragement from end users this might happen, but is there people enough with this combination of hardware, and are they intrested in this? And if yes, does this bunch of people contribute anything for MOS PUP? These questions may need answers before anything happens.
I remember DiscreetFX promised to donate A4000 version of Mediator for this support - is this offer still available?
Comment, and if you feel like it, show support here and MorphZone (http://www.morphzone.org/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4757&forum=32)

Ok, there is now 3 persons (me included ;-) ) shown intrest on this subject - surely there is more? Let's make us heard, and maybe some developer will take this idea seriously, I hope!

To be honest, my only interest is Mediator 1200 support, I even wouldn't care about the "mess" it would cause. :-P

Well, I already placed a thread on this very same topic on Amiga-news.de in the "Amiga Classic und OS4"-section and included a link to your thread on morphzone.org...
From other threads on amiga-news.de I know there are a lot of other Amigans who have an A4kPPC with Mediator board and a lot of them (including me) did not try out MorphOS up to now because of the lacking Mediator support.
(I even already downloaded the image with my 56k modem - but did not install up to now because of the missing Mediator support)
Could it be a good idea to ask the amiga-news-team if they can publish it as a news item?

Worth a try atleast!

I am would be interested in MOS on my a4k/mirage if somehow I could set it up with a bootloader (w/output to a cgx or picasso screen!) and be able to select different boot partitions: MOS, AOS4, AOS3.9, etc.. I'm willing to donate modest sum to get this accomplished, why not?

the mediator, be it on a 1200, or 3000/4000 is in no way a "clean" hardware that can have "clean" drivers...

Does not matter to me - as long as it works as flawlessly as it does.
I prefer "quick and dirty", as long as it meets my needs and is available.
I can see no advantage in sitting around waiting for "clean" HW for my classic Amiga that will possibly never come.
Solutions like GRex do not count in my POV, as they are no longer available and no longer supported.
Furthermore I read somewhere that it would not be possible to have any kind of USB in the GREX - so it is of no use for me anyway...

O.K. - then I will send them a note...
