Hey all,
I just layed my hands on a BPPC/68040 with 16MB RAM fitted (I presume 50 Euro is a bargain, right?).
I don't have it in posession yet, but I already am planning to put some more memory on it.
Can I get any standard 72-pin SIMM for use with it, or does it have to be a specific type? (single sided maybe?)
Also: it has no SCSI controller. Is it possible to add that later on, or does SCSI come only with the 603e+ version?
Cheers,
Eric

If it all work 50 euro is one heck of a bargain. Standard 72 pin simms will be fine.
From what I've read you won't be able to add SCSI.

You Lucky dude
You should update it with 2 x 64mb that would be enough for the ppc and 68k.

50 euros?!! WTF!
Effy has tons of Amiga compatible 128mb SIMMS, if you are interested.

What's the maximum that can be fitted on the board?

2x128 = 256 mB ;-)
If you want to get SCSI on your card, you'd better ask it to amigacenter if you can get the needed chips.

here power up (http://powerup.amigaworld.de/index.php?lang=en&page=1) you will find some info and tools about your board :-)

Hmm, 256MB might just do trick I guess
Anyway, if any soldering is involved I might as well skip it then, or wait until I'm going to need/use SCSI and then send it to someone who can do it.
I'm afraid that if I'm going to solder anything, I'll end up with one big pile of melted metal with some silicium in it... :flame:
Well, thanks for the replies. I can't wait until my new baby arrives (somewhere at the end of this month, together with my 1438 monitor)

Nice catch, they go for about 200 EUR on EBay I think.
