Hi,
I'm searching for a zorro2 converter (from the 86 pin side expansion slot). It can be a single or double zorro slot, even homemade but working.
I'm considering getting the parts (at least the connectors, for example the 86pin) and building one, such a difficult item to find.

Hi:
What do you want to test on the A500? I already tried the x-surf ethernerd card and it seems to work. I couldn't test the clockport of the xsurf. I hope to do this next week.
I'm testing all this on a slingshot pro for the A500.
Best Regards
Rod

Good luck to you.
Assuming pin to pin spacing is correct why not get two or three smaller connectors and with use of jewelers' saw and superglue make your own large connector?
I think Radio Shack and other may still sell protoyping/hobbyist pc boards predrilled and plated for the old 0.1" spaced I.C. chips.
Are there any websites which publish plans for homemade Amiga add-ons ? I'd like to see a plan for homebuildable 68030(68040) accelerators so everybody could have at least a 030 at 50mhz cheaply.
LOts of radio, computer, and robot hobbyist used to build kits and magazine projects.

Lucky me!
I have a (new and still unused) Zorrobus expansion board from the Micronic A500-tower-conversion-kit for the A500...
(including orig. power supply cable and keyboard adaptor)
:-D
My intention was/is to build the fastest A500 ever with an overclocked 68060-accelerator from the A2000.
(If the PPC boards for the A2000 had come out, I'd use one of them - preferably with DCE's "AGA-Go-Kit", if it had left the prototype state and become available...)

I have done it @57 MHz and tested upto 66MHz; 60 was a bit unstable, so just 57. I think someone in Germany had permanently at least 60 MHz - so you have to do it perhaps 64 MHz permanently ;-)

lucky you!!!
That was a very nice addon, but in my tower I have so little space I plan to get a small board like the slinghshot on the top of a500 motherboard.
I've found an huge old 286 tower who is very similar to the 3000 tower...

ps: When I saw 4 replies I tought there were 4 people selling me the adapter...

You have your 500 in a tower?
Btw i am too interested in such device either buying or homemade(such a thing shouldn't be hard to make, i think) for expanding my 500.

yes it's working for a year. I've planned some upgrades but they take time. the rom upgrade is one of my option (I upgraded to 2.04 at the beginnning). I've a 030+882 accelerator and 16MB FastRAM and a scsi controller which does autoboot (jkscsi.device)
I've built on my own the keyboard cable, all the cables from the rear of the mobo to the back of the tower and the adapter for the scsi controller on the 86 pin port (I've found a 86 pin female connector and made an extension for mounting the device at 90° (like the pcmcia on the 1200 tower expansions...)
It works and I also have a vga box for using it with a TFT screen which is not bad...
