Title: Amiga Screen and Vista
Post by: gdridi on August 26, 2006, 07:46:58 PM
Hello,

Have you seen the latest innovation from Vista ?

It has screen navigation (3D iso) like the Amiga.

There also vectorial graphics from Silicon ...

The only thing they done themself is folder view documents.

Back to the future ...

Maybe you were thinking of Mac OS X - Leopard will have something called 'Spaces' which is kinda like the Amiga's screens, but I never heard about anything like this for Vista.

Gotta love it, Apple once again claiming "innovation" and "amazing new things" which are just things other OSs have had for years. Workspaces are something Unix (Linux/BSD, etc) have had since the beginning of time.

Well, it's just a bit of an enhancement compared to the multipe desktop system wich exists on Linux already for a while.

I must say I've always liked Irix's use of vector icons and such. Now if I can just figure out what to DO with these Indys I just got my paws on...
