Hello All,
In process of setting up dedicated computer/radio room.
I first bought an Amiga 500 almost by accident about 15years ago when the person who ordered one through the local Sears failed to pick it up.It had many times the graphics/video power of the IBM-compatible displayed nearby for more money.I got it for $200 off the clearance table,it had listed in the previous years Sears catalog for $799! Bought the ram expansion soon after.Couldn't afford long distance charges to big city so missed out era of BBS.Did use local Atari BBS a little with the neat Amiga 1200 modem from Swallen's clearance rack.
Addicted to Tetris and Test Drive for a while. Lusted after accelerators etc.
Have acquired other pieces along the way which all have sat mostly unused for the last 7? years.
Last was/is A1200 030/50 32ram scsi (still to be found in box somewhere).
Also have A2000 with Derringer,a couple A3000 and a 3000T.
(Missed out on a whole pickup truck of Amigas with Toasters at Indianapolis hamfest about 4 years ago-the whole load was sold for $25 about 5 minutes before I saw them. And seller was glad to get $25!)
Amiga Forever 6 on a 1.8ghz laptop.
Just a classic electronic hobbyist/junk collector.
P.S. Anyone know how to non-destructively seperate pages/covers of Amiga magazines that have become stuck to one another in damp storage?

Hi,
Nice to see another Ham on the list.
I too have a pile of Amigas lying around.
A2000 with 68040 and Retina card.
A4000 with 68060 and CyberPPC grfx card.
A1200 with 68030 and scan doubler.
A500 with 68030. Many A500's and mother boards.
Be careful with those pages that are stuck.
If you breath in the spores from the mold
it can make you very sick. I know I speak
from experience on that one.
You could try isopropyl alcohol with cotton
swabs. Maybe dilute it a bit with some clean
water. Thats what I used and it worked
reasonably well on some hard covered books.

woah.. of all the things that could kill me/make me sick.. I never considered magazine/book spores!
I will be extra careful now.

Added Golden Image handscanner to the collection today ;just because it is the Amiga one!(Already have half a dozen flatbed scaners-the local Goodwill often has them for $10.)Will still have to move color scans from other platforms.
It bring to mind the Mac scaner I used back about 1995 to scan in a baby picture and then print COMPUTER copies for the new father and grandmother. Temporary hero of the family!
Still looking for the 1200/030 and actually several other pieces. Hopefully they are here;two fairly expensive radios went missing after a fire here about 7 years ago. Some of those who came to help must have helped themselves!
