Title: RTG (picasso96) Graphics corruption
Post by: smiley1635 on August 13, 2006, 03:08:50 PM
Ok, so after many problems I had my busboard and graphics card (Spectrum24/28) working fine.

Today I loaded up ADoom and chose the current screenmode I was using.

It seemed a bit laggy so I quit. The I rebooted and the graphics through my card looked like this:

Everything had blue lines on it and bordering it and the mouse cursor turned into a squiggle.

Im not sure if this was to do with ADoom or not.

This happens everytime I boot up and graphics get terribly corrupted when using apps when they never used to and sometimes it just freezes.

I checked my screenmode setting in picasso prefs and it has all the same settings.

Anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas?

Thanks

This doesn't look like a hardware problem necessarily.  What other software patches are you running?  What version of Workbench are you using?  Does your ROM version match your WB version?

Well I have fixed it now by moving it to the very lowest slot on my 6860 busboard. May have been a dirty zorro slot or something....

Interesting.  I would normally expect a hardware or bus problem to exhibit a pattern of effects, not what I saw in your pictures.  Well, at least it's working now.  What happens if you put the card back in its original slot?

Hmm.. I have the same wierd looking problem but the lines are vertical insted of horizontal.
I usa a CVision64/3d CybergraphX but I tested Picasso96 too and the problem did not go away.
It started after I had my amiga in a box in the basement for a few years
