Title: 2.04 or 2.05
Post by: Lockon_15 on August 12, 2006, 12:33:26 PM
What should I pick in order to upgrade stock A2000 (1.3)?
A500+ or A600 stock kickstart?

Any significant differences or incompatiblities?

2.05 has PCMCIA compatibility whereas 2.04 does not.

Also 2.05 roms (37.300 to 37.350) have IDE compatibility

The A2000 does need these so it is best to go for 2.04 or even better 3.1 ROM.

If I got you right, you're actually opting for 2.05, aren't you?

Thnx

3.1, I think.

The A2000 does not have and cannot have A600 IDE or PCMCIA, so 2.05 offers 0% value over 2.04.
