Hello
Last night I was installing a fresh copy of Workbench onto my A1200 (which I've not used in a while) and was thinking about the software I'd install afterwards. The obvious ones like IDEFix and MUI came to mind instantly. But then I started to think about what the first things I normally install on my PC were. The two that sprang to mind were a Virus Scanner and Firewall.
In the olden days I insisted on always running Virus Checker II and it served me well and saved me a couple of times.
However I was wondering if there is still much of a need to do so. I'm guessing that there are not many virus checkers still supported for the Amiga, but likewise I doubt there are any new viruses being written. I realise there may be some viruses still floating around but if you stick with trusted (non-pirated software) maybe things would be okay.
So, I'm intrigued to know what kind of use of virus scanners still exist within the community?
Cheers

Been many years since i ran a virus checker on the Amiga, but you can run the one from:
http://www.vht-dk.dk/
I think this is the last updated one.
But there is really no virus problem on the Amiga now, maybe if you run alot of old software you can run into some but .. rare :)

there are not new Amiga'virus since long time ago cause the Amiga is dead and nobody is interested or waste time to damage a small comunity
anyways you can check the best amiga virus website
http://www.vht-dk.dk/vhtdk/amiga/amiga.htm
you will see that the site is not updated since long time ago
I recommend that you download there VirusZ 3 if you don't have it...it's the best
