Title: Guest Amiga OS on Virtual Host
Post by: jjans on August 03, 2006, 09:49:22 PM
I'd like to host an Amiga OS as a guest system on either Microsoft Virtual Server R2 or VM-Ware Server 1.0 running on a Windows  Server 2003.

Any ideas what I could try? I have already hosted Cloanto's AF on a guest XP virtual machine, but have encountered issues with the mouse emulation.

Keep in mind that the bootable AF CDROM contains a Knoppix Linux boot for the emulator on the latest versions of the CD.  If you keep running into troubles, you could try running EUAE under AROS from VM-Ware even though WinUAE is generally more feature-rich than EUAE.

Why do you want to insert another emulation layer? Wouldn't it be more reasonable (and a lot faster) to run WinUAE on that machine directly? Or is it incompatible with 2003?
