Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows of an online manual for OS3.9, or a place that I could download it. When I ordered my A1200 from Amigakit there was no manual for the OS included. I ran a quick search in the forums and couldn't find any thing, sorry if this has been asked before.
Thanks

If you have OS3.9, then you should have OS3.9 CD, which includes online manual on CD :)

I think the guy from Amigakit forgot to send me the disk. You see, I knew I wouldn't have a CD rom drive for my 1200 when I purchased it. I asked to have the OS upgraded to OS3.9 and he was nice enough to install it on the 4gig drive for me. I guess I should e-mail him back and ask him to send me the disk. Would I be able to read the manual on my Windows PC?

but if you didn't pay for the os3.9 some extra money, but only for the amiga, it has no meaning to ask for the manual too. the installation of the os it was just a favor, i think.

you can find some info at greg donner (http://www.gregdonner.org/os39faq/os39faq.html) site

Yes, I think manual was in html and amigaguide. Even if it was only in amigaguide format (which is it not), you could use slightly buggy winguide (http://www.safalra.com/hypertext/amigaguide/).

I payed extra to have the upgrade to OS3.9. That is an option you can chose when purchasing an A1200 from his website. Now although I wouldn't have a CD drive to use the disk, it sounds to me like I should have been sent the disk regardless, since I payed for the extra. I will e-mail him right now.
Thanks for your responses!

Manual is on the OS 3.9 CD and on the second partition of your A1200.
3.9 CD part-shipped separately from the main unit - refer to shipping docket.

Excelent! I apologize for not paying closer attention to the documentation.
The folks over at Amigakit have been nothing but kind and polite to me. I'm glad I finally get to have my dream computer. Once I have the manual I will be sure to learn as much as possible so I have less newbie questions to dump on this forum :-D

There is a "hard copy" of the manual, but it'll be pretty useless unless you know German. It's out of print now, but is still available as a PDF on CD. Vesalia sells it.

While you wait for the disk to arrive, check out this site:
