Title: WTB: Deuteros & Red Mars
Post by: pedro7 on August 02, 2006, 04:01:56 AM
I'm looking for copies of:
Red Mars, a cdrom game released in 1999
Deuteros, released in 1991

Preferably with manuals. Box not essential but would be nice  :-)

If I may ask, what was the interest in these games? Are you familiar with them both or did they just sound like your kind of thing. Where are you, by the way?

@ angus

I'm interested in Red Mars as I remember it being reviewed in Amiga Format and thought I'd like it but never got round to buying it. I quite like turn based strategy stuff.
Deuteros i have played from a dodgy cracked version which is long lost now. I didn't get very far but really liked it.

I'm in the midlands in the UK, why do you ask?

Red Mars did not come in a "box".  It came in a CD Jewel Case.  The instruction manual was in the Jewel case and was written in very badly broken English.  Whoever translated it from Polish did not speak English very well and did not have anyone proofread it.

The gfx of Red Mars pretty much suck unless you have a gfx card to view the 256 colors.  Hmmmm.... maybe there was an AGA version on the CD also?  I can't remember.  We "played" it on an A3000.  Anyway it can definitely run on OCS & ECS in superlores locolor mode or on a gfx card in superlores 256 colors.

In that case, IF you have an AGA Amiga with at least 16 MB of ram THEN I hereby cordially invite you to play my turn based Aminet strategy game Total Chaos AGA (http://users3.ev1.net/%7Evictory2112/index.htm) which is guaranteed to be 4x the resolution of Red Mars or Deuteros.
