I got from eBay an A4000-D and it had installed 3.1 roms, but not version 40.68 , they are 40.70 intented for the 4000T.
I have read that this version caused probs with accelerators and HardDisks, could it be the reason I need to do one soft reset (because the C EC030 gurus with a recovable error) I cannot use the cd/hd combination I had on my 1200T and my csppc does not work???? anyone has any info?
I also have an eFLASH 1MB, can I remap a 40,68 3.1 rom there?
here is some info on the 40.70 roms... http://www.gregdonner.org/workbench/wb_31.html
Thanks to Alexh for pinpointing this abnormality on my setup!

Remember that the 40.70 has no workbench.library which means you have to put that lib onto the disk.
-
I have currently installed os3.9 + bb1+2 ...
it runs OK except that software exception upon a cold boot that I describe here -> http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=23750
hey DJBASE, can this affect the csppc? meaning that this is a "special" rom + it is used on a D model, not a T one... any info? :-D

The only different between 40.68 and 40.70 is the new scsi driver and the removed workbench.library AFAIK.
Have you tried to put the workbench.library into lib: on disk?

I have "40.70" marked Roms in 3000D, works fine, with fastlane too. And i dont have workbench.linrary on hdd (there is only wb 3.1 isntalled, i will check it with version command)

The workbench wouldn't load without that library.

There were some developer 40.70 roms made for other than A4000T machines - what they contain, I don't know.
