Title: WTH is software failure 8000 0025 07402210 ???

I cold start the 4000 with the 030 cpu card, and I get software failure 8000 0025 07402210 , press left mouse button to continue.
I do that and works ok after that.... what is wrong?

Check the CPU card is seated properly

and

Check your jumpers match the following site info:

without any IDE devices connected, it boots fine on the kick3.1 "insert disk" screen...

Is this the same machine you are having problems with the PPC card? Because in that thread you said that you copied the 680x0 libs to the hard disk. Maybe you left them there, and then when you boot from the hard drive setpatch is loading them, and causing problems with the 030. I would boot from floppy and check they are not still in the LIBS drawer on your hard drive.

You probably have some dodgy software installed on the HDD.

Check if you can enter the early-startup menu without a guru.

If it gurus before the startup menu is displayed, run HDToolbox and replace all the file systems installed on the HDD by versions which work on a 68030.

If the startup menu is opened without a guru, boot without startup-sequence. If it still does not guru, check the startup-sequence and user-startup and remove all programs which don't work on a 68030.

If in doubt, reformat the boot partition and do a clean new install of AmigaOS.
