Title: Cooling problems, NEED HELP!
Post by: ID4 on July 29, 2006, 06:11:04 PM
Hi folks, recently the CPU cooling fan of my laptop that I use for WinUAE and for my professional Work died.

When I power on my laptop and the system detects NO CPU FAN, IT GETS HOT AND THEN POWER OFF. So I can“t use my Laptop :-(.

I need to buy another FAN to fix my laptop.

This is the cooling system that my laptop use:

https://www.excelcomputerinc.com/laptopkingstore/product.asp?intProdID=642&intcatalogID=%5Bfan%5D&intcatalogref=744667

I need only to replace the cooler, not the complete piece.

This text is in the FAN:

SEI
DC 5V 0.18A

Where can I buy another similar FAN?

Thank you!!!

Unfortunately, a lot of these coolers have the fans attached with glue, so you can't just replace the fan.  Video cards are usually the same way.

Have you already tried disassembling the cooler you have now?
