Hi,
I obtained a Micronik 1210 (http://amiga.resource.cx/expde/ra1210) Ram expansion.
Ofcourse it was DOA. The price was as such ;-)

This is my board. On top you can see a header. It seems as if they are intended for some jumpering as texts S0 to S3 are printed near it.
Does anyone have this card aswell and knows how the card should be jumpered?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think this helps..... but, I did a search on google on the newsgroups and got the following link:
http://groups.google.co.uk/group/fido.ger.amiga/browse_thread/thread/5d7624d32e335845/6d6df132ec4047a6?lnk=st&q=&rnum=1&hl=en#6d6df132ec4047a6
I just used "micronik 1210" as the search string. The post is in German so I couldn't read it, I doubt if there's anything useful there, but maybe.

On the other hand, there's this Micronik board here:
http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=1038
with descriptions of how the jumpers work, and this may be similar to your board.
Best of luck.

Looks like someones been adding jumpers, there should only be one.
Have a look at this picture: http://amiga.resource.cx/photos/ra1210 (http://amiga.resource.cx/photos/ra1210)
(Amiga Hardware Database)
They dont have much of a description or the manual for that card though, although it does have a disable jumper and the picture shows it with a jumper on as standard so...

What the designer has been up to with all these jumpers is beyond me for now. It is a Rev1.3 board I have. Could be other revisions had other jumpers.
Maybe it is the EDO simm that is unsupported. I can jumper all I want. I get no fastram :(

Thanks Agnus!
your post got me thinking;
The clock jumper is the same as on the board you mention.
It should be on Int since there is no oscillator on the board.
The other jumpers did not make any sense to me.
However I managed to get an 8M EDO simm working using two jumpers on the header;
S0,S1,S2 and S3 are available pin pairs
Closing S0 and S3 gives me a black screen (missing FPU?)
Closing S1 and S3 gives me 4MB
Closing S2 and S3 gives me 8MB
Leaving S3 open makes the board not appear in the board diagnostics.
Well, that was fun trial and error. Should I mail this to the hardwarebook? Or does someone else have the manual that explains this more complete?

>Thanks Agnus!
You are welcome. And its Angus. :)
>your post got me thinking;
So it is now working to your satisfaction?
>Should I mail this to the hardwarebook?
Go for it! :)

Oops sorry must be dislectic.
So it is now working to your satisfaction?
Well the RTC battery is still missing. I will have to find out what the voltage is that is required. Otherwise it is good to have a spare 4 (or8) MB fastram card around.
