Ok, deleted. But i've lost 14 GBP.
-
Perhaps you both just had a bit of a misunderstanding aboutsomething?
Because I bought a couple of items from him a couple of weeks agoand had absolutely no problems whatsoever.
-
I bought a lot of item from him, without any problem.
But all parts was really cheap things, like Books for 3 quids, cables etc.

** deleted **
nevermind i was comenting about retrogeek seller.
-
Ive bought a few things off that guy and he was very good. I bought a cable that did not arrive and he sent me another straight away. Hopefully he works things out with you.
-
I recently bought off him, and he was very good. It probably is a misunderstanding.
-
I just got an ez-key adaptor for my 1200...
-
I just bought a bunch of parts from him and they arrived in the US in a week. Everything came packaged good and he answered all my emails right away.
-
I've also had a positive experience with Amiga Retro. No problems with my transaction for some A600 stuff.

-
Very serious seller. I have bought several times from him.
-
I've dealth with Amiga Retro Experience before, I actually met the guy since he lives near me. It was a very posotive experience, nice chap.

- 4 CD32 games arrived fine in France (well packed)
- 1 HDD craddle (A600) lost by British or French post ?? so i lots only 2.99 GBP (4,57 EUR via paypal).
In resume, 80% of positive and 20% of negative for this "ebay powerseller" ;)
-
Airey is an honest bloke
cheers

I bought 2 disks from this guy recently and he shipped them to someone else here in the US and shipped the other guys order to me. I informed him that I got someone else's order by mistake and not mine and he emailed me back 2 days later and said he would look into it. That was December 16th and I've heard nothing from him since. In the meantime the other buyer and I got in contact with each other and have remailed the items at our own expence. I realize anybody can make a mistake, but anybody can also try to correct a mistake and try to do something about it. This guy has just ignored it. I wouldn't be in a hurry myself to buy from him again. Dan
-
Must be a one off I,ve bought a few things of the guy without a problem goods are well packed and arrive in a timely fashion, probably an honest mistake glad it worked out for you in the end.
cheers

Hi There,
I received Dannyp1's order on Tuesday this week, and he received mine. It was no more than a mixup on the seller's part. I shipped dannyp1's order yesterday morning and things should be in order now.
I would buy from airey36 again. No question. I understand Dannyp1's concern, but hey, it made for an interesting week. Aside from the raccoon who ate half a Sausage McMuffin wrapper out of my trash can during the night, there's not much going on around here between Christmas and New Years.
...now if that A2000 I purchased on eBay in November would just get here already, that would be a different story! Well, wait a minute...I already have three of those. I get the feeling sometimes that I'm starting to fit in to my countryside neighborhood. Some of the neighbors have old cars on cinder blocks in the back yard, you know...for parts? I guess I'm kinda doing the same with Amigas and the office closet...
Festering...
-
Yes don't buy from him. Buy from someone else with not even half his collection of spares at almost tribble the price.....
He is a good seller and he aims in serving the Amiga community together with making some spending money on the side. He has almost everything Amiga wise and he will surelly find anything for you if you ask.
Has helped many retreive items from the UK that their sellers would not bother to post abroad.
We are mistakes and we make humans.....sometimes.
Nuff said!

Way to dig up the old dirt, krhtikos!
I've bought plenty of stuff from airey36 as well, shipping costs are resonable especially considering international, and everything has always arrived quickly and as described.
-
Welcome to the board krhtikos.
-
Never had a problem with airey, always polite and what he said was what he sent, more than 20 transactions over the past 4 years.
-
I think its clear that there are more positives from Tony then problems, I bought an A1200 case for £3.99 and then sent him a message to ask if he had a bottom shield + mat, floppy power cable, keyboard clip as well.
He said, yep sure do that'll be £3 extra.
Where else could you get that?
It all arrived as described in good time. I've also bought other items without any trouble, A600 Mobo for £8.99 (working fine) plus some games, other bits...
+1 for Aiery36 :)
-
All kind of redundant now as the original poster has deleted the reasons for creating this thread topic anyway ;)
-
I also bought from him without any problems.
-
Welcome to the board krhtikos.
Cheers ..... been reading for a long time but only recently expanded my collection to Amigas. So posting makes sense now :)
-
I have got two amiga 500's from airey36
I like him he is a good sort!
-
I've also brought more than my fair share from airey36 over the years without issues.
-
I've bought close to 50 things from Anthony over the years. Never had a single issue, and more often than not, he's included extra stuff, or ate the cost of extra shipping.
-
I've bought before from airey36, never had any problems either. Once an A500Plus motherboard didnt work, but he send me another one right away and i was happy.
-
Bought from him and sold to him, never had a problem. :-)
-
About this thread: Are you talking about the guy that is sending me a second A1200 shield for free, just as long as I bought it (bidding) very expensive?
Jealous of his cheapest prices?
EDIT: And reading all the posts over here. Shoudn't we rename this thread as " Do we have to make an statue to Airey36? "
-
OK, if we are going to dig up 4.5+ year old threads lets be fair to airey36.
airey36 (http://myworld.ebay.com/airey36/?_trksid=p4340.l2559) ( Feedback Score Of 17728 (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&iid=120695239489&userid=airey36&ssPageName=VIP:feedback&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller&_trksid=p4340.l2560)(http://64.19.142.10/p.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/icon/iconShootYllw_25x25.gif))
99.4% Positive feedback
Not to bad for someone with 17728 auctions!!!:hammer:
I do not know airey36, but with a 99.4% positive feedback I would take a chance on any of his auctions.

In the several transactions I've had with him over the years, I've never had a problem. In fact, he's combined several items for me into one shipment in order to save posting costs.

Bought several items from him, his prices are very reasonable. The items
he sold were very had to find items in the US and they worked perfectly.
If there is even a slight issue, he corresponds well, in this case, it was a
Customs hold up, DAMN H.S. Again I would not hesitate buying from him
for all my Amiga and Commodore items...
Questor7:)
PS. Anyone have a PAL 1D4 motherboard in good working order to sell?
-
I,ve bought from him several years ago but without concern at all. However since making a come back to the scene and building up another machine I noticed he has had some negative feedback. Maybe he has just been unlucky with post and aging items failing etc. My memery of dealing with him is a positive one though :)
