Title: A3640 rev 3.2 question
Post by: x56h34 on July 19, 2006, 09:30:27 PM
Other than having the latest version of the U209 PAL chip, does rev 3.2 A3640 have the capacitors oriented in the right way, or does it have the same manufacturing error as 3.0 and 3.1 revs?

The papers I came across said to check them anyway to be safe.

mine have properly oriented capacitors, and its look like factory soldering.
Works great even in A3000T with very old dmac, ramsey etc

Thanks for the replies guys. To be honest, I'm not sure if all 3.2 A3640 cards came with correctly installed capacitors. Look at this picture of a 3.2 card (taken from Amiga Hardware Database site):

Some capacitors look OK and some are oriented incorrectly. :-?

3.1 is printed on the PCB for 3.2 cards as well. The only difference between them is the updated PAL/GAL chip.
