Title: Want to buy: North America A1200 keyboard.
Post by: FireflyST on July 18, 2006, 07:28:55 PM
I'm looking for a USA/North America Amiga 1200 keyboard to replace the bad one I have.

If you have one for sale, please PM me with price + shipping to US zipcode 60031.

Thanks!

I got one from Softhut a few years ago. They might still have some.

I have one in very good shape, very clean too.  Very slight yellowing on some keys but not bad at all.  And it is a USA one.  How much you offering?

What is the difference between a UK and a US keyboard?

Only a few keys. On the US layout, a shifted '2' key gives '@', and a shifted '3' key gives '#'.

On a UK layout, the shifted '2' gives double quotation marks and the shifted '3' gives the symbol for UK pounds. The apostrophe/quotes key on a US keyboard is replaced by a key for '#' and '@', depending on whether or not it's shifted. I've yet to find the apostrophe key on the UK layout...

My A600 has a UK keyboard. If I'm using it and another machine at the same time, it can get a little confusing
