Hi guys,
i haven't tried my A1200+scandoubler/flickerfixer with 17" monitor yet, but i need one for my machine (satisfied with 15", but 17"s are easier to come by).
Will 17" have too blocky picture and will 15" one be the best solution?
Thanks.

Obviously the bigger the screen the pigger the pixels and the blockier it will look. Games look pretty blocky through a SD at 320x256 anyway, on a 15", because you get a pixel-perfect picture, without the blurriness / anti-aliasing you get from a TV. The difference between 15" and 17" in terms of how blocky the picture will look is negligible.

WB at 640x480 on 17" is still nice, but games are little blocky, so im sitting a littlebit away while playing 8-)

I use a 17" on my A4000 and it works just fine Some games look a bit funny like the old appleII games but the screen size is nice for everything else. :-P

Overall, I prefer a 15" with my A1200 and sd/ff as an allround monitor. 17" is ok for the highest workbenchresolutions, but not so nice in the case of gameplaying where games use 320x256 resolutions.
So, if you're playing games ánd using workbenchstuff, go for 15". If your primary goal is Workbench thingies, a 17" will also do.

I play games on my A4000 + external scandoubler on a 21" HP crt :)
It works great, I use a gfx card for Workbench though ...

You could use a 17" CRT, and just set your monitor to display a smaller image size for the game resolutions (most monitors will remember this setting). 15" is not very useful for anything else these days. 17" is still useable for regular work.
