Hey guys, I just got an RGB to VGA adaptor, but when I turn on the 1200, the frequency is too low, so I can't change the screenmode settings. Is there a way to cycle the screenmodes by keyboard? Man I am so excited!

Nevermind. I figured it out. just sat my monitor next to the tv and changed the screenmode to euro72 and its working now!

The big problem with those "silver box" adapters is that they often require the use of the internal scan-doubling circuitry on the AGA chipset or use super-high-res mode. Either of those modes will suck the bandwidth out of the Chip Bus so that the graphics and sound updates will slow to a trickle. If you're running only Chip RAM then EVERYTHING will slow to a trickle. That's why a scandoubler is reccommended so highly for a classic Amiga (IF you're willing to go through with the expense).
